There's a good reason why the Hulkbuster is so egregiously discounted. That's because, quite honestly, it's not worth its retail price. Although it certainly is an impressively sized figure with a high brick count to boot, it's not a very faithful representation of the Hulkbuster from the Marvel movie. The proportions are completely off because the torso had to be big enough to accomodate the Iron Man minifig inside. The arms articulate very poorly so it's hard to pose the Hulkbuster how you want it, and the unwieldy legs make it too fragile and top-heavy to be played around with. For a LEGO set that costs $550, the problems are inexcusable. For only $325 though, the price point becomes a lot more reasonable..
There's a really cool MOC solution from Rebrickables!
Rebrickables currently sells PDF build instructions you can download for an alternate build using the same LEGO pieces that come with the Hulkbuster set. This is an alternate MOC (my original creation) from designer Ransom_Fern. The alt build is a far more faithful and structurally sound design than the original Hulkbuster build. It has better proportions, it replaces the spindly arms and splayed legs with stockier and more imposing renditions, and it supports itself reliably. You don't even have to use any of the original stickers to make it look good. It costs an extra $20, but it's worth it considering how little you would be paying for the original Hulkbuster set.
