Netflix has revealed the dates and first teaser for Geeked Week 2024, its annual week-long celebration of its genre film and TV shows that typically includes some big reveals.
This year’s Geeked Week will take place September 16-19, culminating with a live, in-person fan event in Atlanta. While Geeked Week has had some in-person pop-ups and activations in the past (including a partnership with tattoo parlors across the country), this is the first time it will have an official in-person event.
While Netflix hasn’t released a schedule just yet, it did reveal a teaser (which you can watch here) that hints at some of the TV shows that we can expect to see highlighted. It shows glimpses of Stranger Things, Squid Game, Arcane, Wednesday, The Sandman, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Cobra Kai, and One Piece, which all have highly anticipated new seasons coming soon enough. Quick looks at upcoming animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft can also be seen.
Stranger Things is currently still in production on its fifth and final season, so it’s likely we’ll get some sort of update on that. One Piece Season 2 began filming a month ago, while Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 is currently in development. New seasons of Arcane, Cobra Kai, and Squid Game, meanwhile, are all premiering this year.
Last year’s Geeked Week included fresh looks at Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, Netflix's Yu Yu Hakusho adaptation, Arcane, Terminator Zero, and more. The streaming service held its inaugural Geeked Week back in 2021.
