As part of the Dell Cyber Monday Sale, Dell is offering a 2023 Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core i7 RTX 4060 gaming PC for only $1099.00. The R16 is Alienware's current-generation chassis and it's a great upgrade over its predecessors. Not only is it significantly smaller in size and features a less garish design, the system also supposedly runs cooler and quieter than ever before.

The Alienware Aurora R16 is equipped with an Intel Core i7-13700F CPU, GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The latest generation Intel Core i7-13700F Raptor Lake CPU boasts a max clock of 5.2GHz with 16 cores, 24 threads, and a 52MB cache. This is an outstanding gaming and workstation chip. Among the Intel CPUs, only the Raptor Lake i9 is better but the difference in gaming is hardly noticeable. The "F" in 13700F simply means that the chip doesn't have onboard graphics (iGPU). That won't matter if you have a discrete GPU, which in this case is the RTX 4060.
The RTX 4060 is considerably more powerful than the RTX 3060 and almost nearly matches the RTX 3060 Ti. I would recommend this card for comfortable 1080p gaming although you can also run games at 1440p with relaxed graphic settings. Because it's a current generation card, the RTX 4060 supports the newer DLSS 3.0 and 3.5 tech. It gives you a very nice framerate boost compared to equivalent AMD cards without sacrificing visual quality for games that support it, like the new Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty DLC.

For $200 more, you can upgrade to an Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC equipped with an RTX 4060 Ti 8GB GPU. It's noticeably more powerful than the RTX 4060. Compared to the previous gen GPUs, it's about 5%-10% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti at 1080p. It will give you even more of a boost in 1080p and 1440p gaming. The CPU is identical to the one found in the $1099.99 model, however this config have been upgraded with a more robust 240mm AIO liquid cooling system.
