The trailer for Guy Ritchie's World War II action-comedy The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is here, offering audiences a first look at Henry Cavill's unconventional (and incredibly unhinged) soldier.
Cavill stars as Gus March-Phillips, the leader of a top-secret combat unit formed by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill during WWII. The trailer sees this motley crew set out on a daring mission against the Nazis using utterly "ungentlemanly" fighting techniques to take the enemy down, resulting in bullets, blow-ups, and blood spills.
According to the synopsis, the film is based on the "recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events," allowing people to witness the unorthodox methods of the special forces group that "changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare."
People can't get enough of Cavill's rambunctious and rugged rule-breaker, who is well and truly up for the task. The actor started trending on X/Twitter shortly after the trailer dropped as the platform became flooded with comments about his appearance, with some pointing out that he looks to be having "the time of his life."

Cavill leads the charge at the head of the ragtag group of rogues and mavericks in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced movie, which stars Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusamokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, with Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes also featured in the stacked cast.
Ritchie directed The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare from a screenplay he co-wrote with Arash Amel, Eric Johnson, and Paul Tamasy. Ritchie also produced the feature film alongside Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Ivan Atkinson, and John Friedberg. Lionsgate is now gearing up to dispatch it into theaters on April 19, 2024.
