The new Apple Watch Series 10 was announced today at Apple's "It's Glowtime" September Event. The Series 10 is the biggest Apple watch yet, with approixmately 30% more screen area than previous versions. The case is a bit taller, but has smooth, rounded corners giving it a sleek look.
Despite the larger screen size, the device is approximately 10% thinner than the previous-generation Apple Watch. It's also lighter – the standard aluminum version is about 10% lighter than the previous generation Apple smartwatch. There's also a new Titanium case variant that's 20% lighter.
The Series 10 has a wide-angle OLED display that Apple says is 40% brighter when viewed from off-angles. It also has a quicker-updating always-on display, refreshing every second instead of every minute, allowing for a ticking seconds hand even when your arm is down.
Other new features include a larger speaker, allowing you to play media directly from the watch. There's also a larger charging coil, letting the Series 10 restore around 80% battery from 30 minutes of charging.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is available in black, rose gold, and silver for the aluminum case, while the titanium variants have slightly different colorways.
Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and will be available on September 20. Pre-orders are available today.
