Once fans heard The Exorcist was getting the reboot treatment, it's fair they would have been skeptical. Some were quite concerned with director David Gordon Green, as his Halloween Ends didn't hit the mark. In fact, reconciling that trilogy, critics didn't think he understood how to balance horror and drama.
