Limited Run has just opened pre-orders for a new lineup of hot Dreamcast merch, which it thoughtfully debuted on Sept. 9, the 25th anniversary of the U.S. launch of Sega’s final console (ie. “9/9/99,” as the commercials would famously point out). The best thing that I can say about the merch is that it looks like stuff that would have launched alongside of the Dreamcast in the 90s — and rather than having to dig through the dregs of eBay to find secondhand wares, you can pre-order these items now with little effort. As is the case with most collector’s items, waiting is necessary for your shipment to arrive; Limited Run plans to ship in March 2025 (it’ll be here before you know it).
You can brandish your Dreamcast obsession in numerous ways with this set, which I’ll list below. Thankfully, the merch gets a little weird (there’s a whole Trading Card set!), befitting an equally quirky console. Just keep in mind that, while the shipping estimate is still a ways off, pre-orders will no longer be accepted after the sun goes down on Oct. 13.
