Throughout its long history, the Sonic the Hedgehog series has seen its share of impressive highs and infamous lows. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the franchise's 3D entries. Although the Sonic games have gone through numerous iterations of their 3D formula, they have always strived to deliver exhilaratingly fast-paced action. But even after years of Sega refining and experimenting with the series' gameplay, no other Sonic game has been as influential as Sonic Adventure 2.
