Following one of the best entries in the Thor series with Ragnarok, Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder received many negative reviews from critics and viewers alike. However, plenty would agree that Christian Bale's take on the primary antagonist, Gorr the God Butcher, was one of the highlights of the otherwise subpar MCU entry. Like Love and Thunder's Bale, Ragnarok also featured a powerhouse actor, Cate Blanchett, as the villain, Hela. It appears that Waititi is aware that the villains in his MCU entries were one of the films' strengths.
