Learning the raid and dungeon rotation in Destiny 2 is great for farming loot you don’t have yet, and for increasing your Power in Destiny 2.

As of the Episode: Revenant update in October 2024, Bungie showcases which activity is featured (via an icon on the map), and there are now two featured raids and dungeons per week. But Destiny 2 still doesn’t tell you in-game what raids and dungeons are planned for future weeks.

In this Destiny 2 rotation guide, we’ll tell you why featured raids and dungeons matter, and give you a calendar showing which endgame activity is featured this week. These activities always cycle in and out on Tuesdays at the weekly reset for Destiny 2.

What does it mean for a raid and dungeon to be featured?

Six Guardians square off against Oryx in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 has a series of activity types that rotate each week, but the most consequential ones are the endgame activities: raids and dungeons. If you’re new to Destiny, raids are six-player activities that are widely considered to be the most difficult content in the game. Dungeons are like smaller, simpler raids and only require three Guardians to complete (and, with practice, and can even be completed solo).

When a raid or dungeon is featured, you’ll get a Pinnacle Power piece of loot when you complete the activity, and you can complete encounters over and over again for a chance at loot. This means that when, for example, the Last Wish raid is featured, you can dive in and complete each encounter multiple times to unlock a weapon pattern you’ve been dying to get. This is a big shift from normal raids, which will typically only give you loot once per week.

The featured raids and dungeons will rotate out and a new one will rotate in each Tuesday. Finally, it’s worth noting that the most recent raid and dungeon added to the game can never be featured, although they offer pinnacle gear every single week.

The most recent raid in Destiny 2 is Salvation’s Edgeadded in The Final Shape and the most recent dungeon is Vesper’s Hostadded in Episode: Revenant.
