Total War has secured its place as one of the premier series in the evolving real-time strategy genre. But since its original 2000 release, it deviated away from the historical settings that brought it so much acclaim in favor of a direct tie-in to the Warhammer: Fantasy Battles universe. With that now at an end, the newest game in the series returns to real-world history once more.
