A crew member working on DC Studios’ Superman film died by suicide yesterday at Trilith Studios, Variety reports today.
It had been reported yesterday that a teamster had taken her own life at the production studio near Atlanta, with Variety confirming today that she had been working on Superman. The James Gunn-directed movie is currently filming at Trilith next to another DC Studios production, Peacemaker Season 2.
According to Deadline, police responded to a report of an unconscious contractor early Wednesday morning. The contractor was found dead in a vehicle in the production’s parking lot, and no foul play is suspected.
Per a X/Twitter post from Variety reporter Tatiana Siegel, Gunn “gathered the crew and halted production.” Siegel adds that it’s Superman’s last week of production.
IGN has reached out to DC Studios and Warner Bros. for comment.

Among the movies that have filmed there are Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Endgame, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Haunted Mansion, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Loki, and Wandavision. Francis Ford Coppola also used it as a filming site for his upcoming film Megalopolis.
Superman is currently scheduled to debut on July 11, 2025.
