The producers of Star Trek: Enterprise essentially forced United Paramount Network to give them a fourth season. Like Star Trek: Voyager before it, the series was the flagship show on the ailing UPN. However, during Enterprise Season 3, a new group of network executives came into power and weren't keen on boldly going anywhere but to bankruptcy.
