Batman has certainly faced his fair share of challenges throughout the years, frequently through the threat of one of the most colorful rogues galleries in all of comics. The grim Dark Knight of Gotham City is often faced with adversaries who are as deadly as they are amusing, making for memorable hero vs. villain battles with the likes of Two-Face, the Riddler, and the Caped Crusader's archnemesis, the Joker. Batman's various rogues have become part of his very mythos over the years, with a few becoming as iconic as the hero they oppose.
