Netflix may give you an option to "skip intro," but on Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, we don't think we'll be hitting that button.
The streaming platform unveiled the charming opening credits for the series on Tuesday, just a bit ahead of its Nov. 17 premiere date. The under-two-minute-long intro is colorful and accompanied by a catchy tune from the Japanese rock band Necry Talkie. It reminds me of the opening scene from the 2010 film, which was filled to the brim with grimy yet vibrant visual effects combined with a heavy bass that made for a mesmerizing watch.
But hey, don't take my word for it. Watch the opening credits for the series and see for yourself:

One sharp-eyed user even pointed out how the intro makes a reference to the opening credits sequence of the 2004 anime series Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off was announced earlier this year as an anime series based on the graphic novel. Perhaps the biggest surprise, however, was that Netflix revealed that Michael Cera, along with the rest of the cast from the 2010 film directed by Edgar Wright, are returning as voice actors.
This isn't our first look at Scott Pilgrim's on-screen return, with Netflix recently sharing the first clip late last month showing Scott renting a Netflix DVD as an excuse to see Ramona Flowers.
While we still have a few weeks to go before the series premieres, Netflix did reveal a couple of weeks ago it'll be among the shows teased at its digital showcase Netflix Geeked Week, which kicks off on Nov. 6 and concludes on Nov. 12.
