Posted on X/Twitter, Discussing Film's official account posted a 44-second clip introducing two new villains in Batman: Caped Crusader — Clayface and Onomatopoeia. The clip provides an even distribution of snippets featuring the two villains, including a brief scene where Onomatopoeia can be seen fighting Batman. In addition to the clip, the post confirmed that Dan Donohue was cast as the voice actor for Clayface, while Reid Scott is voicing Onomatopoeia.
Batman: Caped Crusader was officially announced in 2021. Originally set to be an exclusive for Max (formerly HBO Max), in August 2022, Warner Bros. pulled the show from its upcoming release slate. Fortunately, Amazon picked up the series in March 2023 and also renewed it for a second season before the show even premiered.
The series is a collaboration between Bruce Timm, the creator of the critically acclaimed Batman: The Animated series, and The Batman director Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams. In June 2024, Amazion revealed the voice cast for the upcoming series, with Midnight Mass star Hamish Linklater cast to play the caped crusader. Additional castings include Christina Ricci as Catwoman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn, and Diedrich Bader as Two-Face.
All ten episodes of Batman: Caped Crusader's first season will premiere on August 1, exclusively on Prime Video. For more, check out the official trailer that was released last month.
