Netflix's live-action One Piece series fully captured the magic of the East Blue saga in the original manga/anime franchise, but it wasn't an excact reproduction scene by scene. Out of necessity, the live-action One Piece series greatly shortened the original material and streamlined it into eight one-hour episodes, which meant cutting a lot of fluff material. It also meant rearranging some key plot points, such as character introductions.
