Marshall, one of the biggest names in music gear, is widely known for its iconic amplifiers and sound cabinets that have been used by some of the biggest rock bands and artists in the world for over 60 years. The Marshall Stanmore II captures Marshall's iconic sound and timeless design in a wireless speaker that both looks and sounds great.
It's built from a sturdy wooden frame and features a textured vinyl covering, salt-and-pepper fret, and the iconic Marshall logo prominently displayed on the front of the speaker's grille. On top, there are three knobs that allow you to easily adjust volume, bass, and treble to your liking, as well as a button to swap between input types.
The Stanmore II is the medium-sized model in the Bluetooth family of speakers, providing room-filling sound in a shoebox-sized housing. It features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity that allows you to pair it to your mobile phone, tablet, computer, TV, and more. It supports two paired devices that can easily be swapped between as you please. It also supports analogue listening modes via the 3.5mm auxilliary or RCA ports. The speaker can also be customized further with the optional Marshall app to control EQ settings, presets, and LED lighting intensity.
It features a dynamic audio range of 50-20,000Hz able to produce up to 101dB of room-filling sound. It's worth noting that this speaker isn't portable as it requires an outlet for power, however, it can easily be moved from room-to-room. I owned the original Stanmore speaker and thorougly enjoyed its sound quality and design. It's also a great conversation-starter as it stands out amongst any decor without being flashy.
