The DCEU was arguably something of a spectacular failure. DC Comics had created many of the greatest superheroes ever, and moviegoers were rabid for the films being produced by the MCU. Superhero popularity was at an all-time high, but the DCEU was completely unable to gain a fanbase similar to that of Marvel. However, the movies did their best to give moviegoers DC's most powerful and skilled superheroes on the big screen in a shared universe for the first time. The adaptations weren't always perfect, and one big difference concerned the power level of the characters.
