Last year, Turtle Beach announced Atom, a mobile game controller that would compete with the Backbone and Razer Kishi but was only compatible with Android devices. Fortunately, iPhone users interested in the device won't have to wait as long as Turtle Beach announced today that an iOS version arrives next month.

Turtle Beach confirmed the Atom Mobile Game Controller for iOS arrives on September 11. Similar to the original Razer Kishi, the Turtle Beach Atom splits into halves and lets you sandwich your mobile device in between to connect the device. But instead of using the end port on the phone, the Atom Controller uses Bluetooth to pair the device to the controller.

It's important to note the device is not compatible with all iPhone models. Turtle Beach said the Atom for iOS controller only works on iPhone 11 and newer models.

The device is ideal for those who play mobile games with controller support, such as Call of Duty: Mobile, or games found on Apple Arcade. Of course, the device is also ideal for cloud streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now.

Turtle Beach Atom Mobile Game Controller for iOS costs $79.99 and is available for preorder on Turtle Beach's website and Amazon.
