The new Blue Beetle movie is in an amorphous spot where it could logically exist in either the DC Extended Universe or the upcoming rebooted DC Universe. Given the movie's positive reception, it's highly likely that this version of Jaime Reyes will return in the DCU. This creates several ways to continue his story, namely by drawing from great Blue Beetle comic books.
