The Nintendo Entertainment System is one of the most famous video game systems of all time. Home to classic titles like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., and Metroid, the NES helped establish Nintendo as one of the leading names in gaming. However, a different version of the platform was originally released in Japan as the Famicom (Family Computer), and many of that system's games never made it across the Pacific.
