Dragon Ball GT, the sequel series to Dragon Ball Z, had very big shoes to fill and it remains one of the more controversial chapters in the franchise. Dragon Ball GT turns the clock forward following the events of Dragon Ball Z and takes some extremely bold storytelling and tonal decisions, not all of which work.
