What We Do in the Shadows has not only become one of the best mockumentaries on TV, but it is also expanding pop cultures knowledge of vampires. The biggest addition that What We Do in the Shadows has made is the energy vampire, specifically Colin Robinson. Energy vampires are different from almost every other breed of vampire. They survive in daylight, they appear as human, and they don't drink blood to live. While it appeared that Colin seemed to operate mostly independently, it seems that energy vampires do in fact have a ruling council.
