As beloved as the Star Wars brand is, it has several controversies involving different characters and how they affect the galaxy far, far away. There's no better example of this than Jar Jar Binks, who was universally reviled in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. Hated by older fans due to his goofy, comical nature, Jar Jar could have been redeemed by making him closer to a villain from the Isaac Asimov series Foundation.
