One of the major aspects of Doom Patrol has been the team trying to find their humanity again. Thanks to Niles Caulder's meddling and the ensuing experiments, their "accidents" made them weapons in part of his game to become immortal and restore order to the world. But Niles truly broke their minds -- something made even worse when they realized he betrayed them.
