Saw II Is the Best Entry Point Into the Saw Franchise

In 2004, the horror saga that is the Saw franchise began, establishing the concept of "games" that involve physical and psychological torture as a means of testing whether an individual truly deserves to live or die, along with introducing the infamous evil mastermind behind it all -- Jigsaw. What started as a story of two men waking up in a disgusting bathroom with their ankles chained up and a dead body between them holding a tape recorder that, when played, asked them if they wanted to play a game has evolved into a series of movies with graphic gore and twist endings that have made Saw a staple in the horror genre.
