As the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen continues, the creators prove how they are redefining anime—an industry that has been infested with unrelenting tropes and obvious formulas. The shonen genre has especially been flooded with tropes, though many of them are more acceptable. One of the most popular and beloved tropes has been shonen rivalries. While Jujutsu Kaisen has been able to avoid many tropes, it's stepped into the rivalry trope with the characters Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto in season 2.
