Shojo and magical girl anime fans have much to thank Naoko Takeuchi for. Creating Sailor Moon is the masterpiece of her lifetime, and between the manga, animated series, movies, and the new reboot, she blessed the world with hours and hours of magical, heartfelt storytelling. There were great magical girl and shojo romance anime before Sailor Moon, but Takeuchi's work revolutionized the genre.
