The topic of war is always a sensitive subject to cover, especially when it is being conveyed through TV or film. The risk is that such events are glamorized or don't illustrate what truly happened at the time. The projects might not consider the effects of portraying false information or deflect from the essence of what each specific war meant for those who experienced it. Having said that, when a production based on war is well thought out, the results can be outstanding. 1917 unveiled the importance of clear and defined visuals and received 10 nominations at the Academy Awards, winning Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Cinematography. Hacksaw Ridge also won Best Sound Mixing and Best Film Editing at the Academy Awards. Both films are just two such examples that captured the horrors of war, as well as the camaraderie that is so often documented.
