The Star Wars universe has continued to grow over the past few decades and since the release of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope in 1977, the franchise has gradually expanded its lore around the eternal struggle of the Sith and Jedi in a galaxy far, far away. It comes as no surprise that creator George Lucas has since passed on the production of Star Wars movies to the next generation of talented movie directors and producers, such as Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. This also means that Star Wars has an increased need for creating compelling villains that terrorize and rival the galaxy's most courageous heroes.
