Bridgerton finally has a Netflix return date, with the third season of the regency drama releasing in two parts on the streaming service in 2024.

Fans of the hit Shonda Rhimes series will need to circle two calendar dates for the upcoming rendezvous, as Netflix has announced that Bridgerton Season 3 will have a two-part release, with the first four episodes premiering on May 16 and the next four episodes arriving nearly a month later on June 13.

While Bridgerton's first two seasons followed the first two novels by Julia Quinn, the upcoming third season will skip ahead to the fourth book, giving people a #Pollin-filled Spring season as the complicated love story of Nicola Coughlan's Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton's Colin Bridgerton is explored further on screen.

We previously witnessed Penelope's heartbreak as she overheard Colin saying he would never court her, even though she has had her eye on him for quite some time. However, the synopsis for the upcoming chapter suggests Penelope will have a scandalous season in London as she taps into her new independence.

Colin, meanwhile, is "disheartened" to realize that Penelope is giving him "the cold shoulder," and so he offers to mentor her "in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, he must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly."

The sophomore season of Bridgerton debuted on Netflix on March 25, 2022, which means more than two years will have passed since audiences rubbed shoulders with the ton when the third season becomes available to stream. However, IGN's review of Season 2 thinks the show has already proven it's not "just a one-hit wonder."
