Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is off to a strong start with a story that focuses more on its human characters than its Titans. That's not to say, executive producers Chris Black and Matt Fraction are making the same errors Gareth Edwards did in 2014's Godzilla by focusing too much on mankind. There's a decent number of creatures involved in the first two episodes, adding to the action aesthetic. However, the show is all about the fallout of Godzilla's first appearance, and how the present is indeed tied to the conspiracies Monarch hid in the 1950s and henceforth.
