Ironhide, an Autobot in the Transformers franchise, has become synonymous with toughness and resilience. The source of his name was born from Bob Budiansky, a writer and editor for Marvel Comics who was responsible for naming many of the characters. He drew inspiration from the main character of another unrelated TV show, Ironside, in naming this particular transformer.
