The Star Wars franchise is enjoying consistent critical and commercial success under Marvel's mainline canon comics, but the now-dubbed Legends canon has plenty of worthwhile stories courtesy of Dark Horse's backlog. The comic book medium has been an excellent place for other creatives to expand upon the mythos established by George Lucas, and the Dark Horse era spawned many excellent series that spanned the distant past and future alike.
