The Lenovo Slim 5 Gen 9 is a current generation 2024 model. It features a 16" 2560x1600 QHD+ 165Hz IPS display, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS has a max boost clock of 4.75GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 16MB cache. This is a lower voltage processor that the CPU found in the Legion 5 Pro, but it's still an excellent gaming and workstation that won't bottleneck your GPU. In exchange you get lower power consumption (and thus longer battery life) and less heat.
The RTX 4070 mobile GPU performs on par with the RTX 3080. It's a little bit faster than the RTX 3070 Ti but not quite as powerful as the RTX 3080 Ti. You'll want this kind of power to run games comfortably on the laptop's beefed up 2560x1600 or QHD+ display.
