George R.R. Martin, author of the Song of Ice and Fire books on which Game of Thrones is based, plans to talk about "everything that's gone wrong with House of the Dragon."

Martin wrote a blog post about how he's just returned from a trip abroad and therefore hasn't had a chance to write about various topics including his thoughts on Season 2 of House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel series which concluded its second season earlier in August.

But it sounds as though Martin wasn't as a fan. "I do not look forward to other posts I need to write, about everything that’s gone wrong with House of the Dragon... But I need to do that too, and I will," Martin said, somewhat ominously.

It's unclear exactly what Martin means, but it's hard to infer positive feelings from the phrase "everything that's gone wrong." IGN's House of the Dragon Season 2 review returned a 7/10. We said: "House of the Dragon Season 2 is made up of some impressive components and stellar episodes, but it’s held back by its glacial pace."

The author previously called out a mistake made in House of the Dragon concerning the Targaryen sigil, saying "someone got sloppy" as the dragon on its banner had four legs instead of two. "No animal that has ever lived on Earth has six limbs," Martin said.

House of the Dragon is now wrapped for another season, and while more episodes were confirmed even before Season 2's premiere, it will be some time before fans get to watch them. The Season 2 finale set up plenty of plot points for Season 3 to dig into, of course, and you can read our full analysis of these here.
