Following the finale of its second season, Marvel's What If...? Season 3 has received a first look clip featuring Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier and Red Guardian.
The nearly 3-minute clip shows a "look in to the future" of Marvel's What If...? and sees Bucky and a young Red Guardian in a car with a license plate that reads '2FAST4U.' After Red Guardian eats some french fries and says Bucky looks like a "winter fox," the character played by Stranger Things' David Harbour in the MCU throws on an American accent and tries to talk his way out of a tricky situation with Laurence Fishburne's Dr. Bill Foster.
The conversation quickly deteriorates and a police chase ensues with bullets flying every which way, but we don't get to see the end of the action as "To Be Continued..." flashes on the screen shortly after.
This pairing is a fun one as Bucky and Red Guardian will both be part of the upcoming Thunderbolts movie alongside Taskmaster, Yelena Belova, Ghost, US Agent, and more.
As previously mentioned, this clip follows the drop of the final episode of Season 2 of Marvel's What If...?, which featured such storylines as what if Peter Quill attacked Earth's Mightiest Heroes, what if Iron Man crashed into the Grandmaster, and what if the Avengers assembled in 1602.
In our review of the premiere episode of Season 2 of Marvel's What If...?, we said it "gets off to a strong start thanks to a stylish and entertaining episode that borrows more than a little from the Blade Runner franchise."
