Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Netflix's upcoming animated adaptation of the legendary video game franchise, has received a first-look teaser trailer and a release window of 2024.
This new animated series, which was first announced back in 2021, is set after the events of Crystal Dynamics' video game reboot trilogy and is being brought to life by Legendary, Crystal Dynamics, and Castlevania's Powerhouse Animation. Additionally, The Witcher: Blood Origin's Tasha Huo will be writing and executive producing the show.
It was also officially confirmed that Lara Croft will be voiced by Agent Carter's Haley Atwell.

The teaser features Lara breathing heavily as she gets ready to attack something with her bow and arrow. As she does, we flash to other moments in the series, including her jumping into a giant dark hole, examining art on a wall, standing in front of a raging fire, looking at something that can only be described as magical wings, and more. The teaser ends with her composing herself and taking the shot.
Sonic the Hedgehog movie's dj2 Entertainment was said to be working on the series, but it appears Powerhouse Animation has stepped in to get it to the finish line.
While we don't yet know exactly what Lara's next main adventure will be in the world of video games, Crystal Dynamics did tease in 2021 that it was "working to unify" the timelines of Core Design's original games and its own reboot trilogy.
It will obviously be some time before we play this new game or watch this series, but in the meantime you can look forward to Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft, which will be released on modern consoles and PC on February 14, 2024.
