In Nia DaCosta's The Marvels, Brie Larson's Captain Marvel and her peers have quite the battle on their hands. They're faced with a Kree rebel faction that wants to drain planets of their resources in order to restart life on their dying homeworld of Hala. At the core of it all is Zawe Ashton's Dar-Benn, who wields a cosmic hammer and embodies a lot of the energy Ronan the Accuser left behind.
