The Plucky Squire launches September 17, 2024 and straight onto the PlayStation Plus Premium Games Catalog.
Developer All Possible Futures announced the release date while PlayStation revealed on X/Twitter it would be adding the game to its premium subscription service at launch. It is the first game confirmed for the September 2024 line up, just one day after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wild Hearts, Cult of the Lamb, and more were locked in for August.
It will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC on the announced September 17 date.
"The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his companions, storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book," reads the official synopsis. "They must jump between 2D and 3D realms to save their friends in this charming action-adventure."
The 2D portions are top-down, hand-drawn gameplay sections filled with mini games, while the 3D sections offer a huge world set inside a child's bedroom to explore.
Fans have been waiting more than two years for The Plucky Squire, as it was announced during a Devolver Digital showcase in June 2022. All Possible Futures has revealed tidbits of information since then, but always stopped short of an actual release date until now.
