Netflix's Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime series has received a new clip that shows Scott renting a Netflix DVD in hopes of running into Ramona Flowers as she is the one delivering the discs.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and all of its eight episodes will be released on Netflix on November 17, 2023, and this clip features many of the characters who are returning to this franchise after first starring in Edgar Wright's 2010 Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
You can check out a glimpse of the clip below with other footage from the series or watch the entire clip here on YouTube!

First up we see Michael Cera's Scott talking to Aubrey's Plaza's Julie Powers, who reveals Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Ramona Flowers is currently working as a delivery person for Netflix. He then goes online using the "World Wide Web" to order a DVD from Netflix with the help of Kieran Culkin's Wallace Wells.
He ends up searching for a video starring Chris Evans' Lucas Lee and waits day and night for Ramona to deliver his DVD, which she finally does.
While it's great seeing all these characters again, it's also a wonderful nostalgic treat to see the earlier days of Netflix and a time when we didn't have endless hours of content at our fingertips and actually had to wait for things to happen. Imagine that!
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is being developed by Bryan Lee O'Malley and BenDavid Grabinski for Netflix. It is based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels which were written and drawn by O'Malley himself.
Also starring in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off are Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Jason Schwartzman (Gideon), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Mae Whitman (Roxie Richter), and Ellen Wong (Knives Chau).
If the wait for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is too much to bear, be sure to check out our Scott Pilgrim vs. the World review and its game adaptation to see if they are worth jumping into for the first or hundredth time!
