Blue Beetle may focus on the Jaime Reyes iteration of the hero, but he's not the only man to wear the mantle. His predecessor in both the comics and the film was Ted Kord, though he's seemingly nowhere to be found in the current DC Universe. This could be due to a notable DC villain who already appeared in a previous DC movie.
