The beauty of storytelling in Star Trek is that it has decades of history and characters to call upon to tell new stories. In 2023, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Lower Decks and, of course, Star Trek: Picard brought back a number of fan-favorite legacy characters in wonderfully clever ways. While every character return is a gift, some reverberated more strongly in the Star Trek fandom.
