There's no question that Barbie's primary intended audience is women. After all, the film is a crash course in gender and feminist studies presented through their eyes, partly because of the wonderfully executed efforts of America Ferrera's character, Gloria. As a result, Barbie takes pride in its critique of the patriarchy, and rightfully so. It makes a lot of valid points on some specific problems that women are subjected to when it comes to men. However, that doesn't mean that the men in the audience shouldn't be paying attention. After all, a good portion of the feature's message is meant for them, especially concerning Ken (Ryan Gosling).
