The DCU will be attempting to reboot the DC characters in a new cinematic universe. The DC brand has suffered in recent years due to a lack of direction for its legendary characters. James Gunn and Peter Safran have already announced the first chapter of the DCU will be called Gods and Monsters. Part of this chapter will be the introduction of The Authority. While this team of heroes isn't as well known as The Avengers or The Justice League, they are no less important or powerful. Two of the team members, Midnighter and Apollo will be the perfect heroes to help headline an entirely new cinematic universe.
