Wild Area is another premier event in Pokémon Go, which is meant to mimic the location with the same name from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
With a special fixation on electric- and poison-type Pokémon (and thus bringing Gigantamax Toxtricity out to play), there are a lot of event perks and interesting factors for this weekend-long celebration.
The event is bringing back previously exclusive powerful Legendary Pokémon, like Origin Form Dialga and Palkia, as well as Primal Groudon and Kyogre. It also introduces mighty Pokémon, which are more likely to be bigger in size, having higher stats, and are a bit harder to catch.
If you need help with other guides over the event weekend, we have explainers on Go Safari Balls, how to get Toxel, and for ticket holders, the “An Accomplished Trainer” choose a path choice.
Pokémon Go Wild Area day 2 differences and changes
There is only one difference with day two of Pokémon Go Wild Area 2024, and that’s a change to the mighty Pokémon that spawn. Our mighty Pokémon list contains a full breakdown, but you can now encounter the likes of Dragonite, Electivire, and Mamoswine in the wild.
Beyond that, once Monday rolls around, there will be two things of note; the start of any ticketed bonuses for those who have completed the “An Accomplished Trainer” research (giving you an incentive to get this wrapped today), and the removal of seeing when friends are raiding on your friends list and being able to join remotely, a feature which was added only just this week.
Best of luck getting the Pokémon you need on this second and final day!
