The shonen genre likes to introduce villainous organizations, and the Akatsuki was the organization in Naruto. For the most part, each Akatsuki member was an S-ranked rogue ninja who possessed Kage-level strength and skill. A number of them could even defeat Jinchuriki on their own. Each Akatsuki member was capable of using taijutsu to some degree during battle, but certain members were more skilled with it than others.
