More than two years have passed in the real world since Sylvie killed He Who Remains and broke open the Sacred Timeline into the Marvel multiverse. As Loki Season 2 begins, the focus is primarily on what this means for the series' characters. However, there is plenty in this first episode for fans to speculate about what this means for the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, time travel always complicates things. There are no straight lines in this season. Despite featuring a variant of the character set up to be the next Big Bad of the MCU, there is little focus on that bigger picture.
