The DC Universe has been under the control of James Gunn and long-time producing partner Peter Safran for close to a year now. The CEOs unveiled their plan to journalists and fans in February 2023. At the time, it was unclear what the plan would spell out for the actors already established in the DC Extended Universe, first started by Zack Snyder. Gunn has since confirmed the DCU will reboot the DCEU, with Creature Commandos and Superman: Legacy.
